Planning permission and listed building consent have been granted for a Grade II listed property within the Bath City-wide conservation area
Following a collaborative planning process with Bath and North East Somerset Council’s planning Department, planning permission and listed building consent have been granted for the creation of a new maisonette within the grounds of a historic Villa in the Lansdown Ward. Throughout the process, we have been in open dialogue with the planning department in order to mitigate or incorporate the various concerns they may have had regarding the scheme.
The proposals include the creation of bespoke doors to provide valuable light to the kitchen and living spaces whilst retaining the external appearance of the timber doors typical of the Mews. Proposals were actively supported by local residents for the positive contribution they will make to the streetscape.
This development marks the latest in a number of improvements to the property as a whole. Including the extension and renovation of the main villa as well as to the coach house to the side of the property. Throughout our involvement with the estate, which had fallen into disrepair, has been restored and improved upon, whilst retaining the key the period features of the original property.
