Alex Tart Architects have worked extensively as residential architects in and around the Hampstead Area. The area benefits from a rich architectural tapestry ranging from the terraced houses and mews of South Hampstead, to large detached residences around Hampstead Heath. Having carried out several projects in the area we have developed an intimate understanding of Camden Council’s methods of working, and have successfully negotiated several approvals in the face of initial opposition.

We are currently working on several properties in the area including the total refurbishment and extension of a large semi-detached family residence in the Frognal and Fitzgerald conservation area. A joint application with the adjacent property successfully obtained planning permission for an extension in excess of what might otherwise been achievable.

We can be involved in any stage of the project, ranging from assistance in the initial definition of a strategic brief, and setting up the required team for the project, to the construction of the finished building. In general, our experience has been that working closely alongside our clients from the project inception yields the best outcomes. However, we are entirely flexible in our approach and will always tailor our services to suit a client’s unique needs.
